Opal creates an innovative and sustainable Christmas tree

Opal’s festive elves have been weaving their Christmas magic again this year and have created an innovative and sustainable Christmas tree.

Inspired by an Opal team member who created a mini origami tree, the team challenged themselves to create a life-sized replica.

With jolly enthusiasm they got to work. Creating the Christmas tree from 100 per cent recycled paper that’s also recyclable, Opal Paper & Recycling’s Operations Technical Team at the Botany Mill used their combined skills to precisely fold sheets of the brown paper to build the tree.

Decked with tinsel and topped with a handcrafted star, Opal’s origami Christmas tree is bringing plenty of jingle bells to the Botany site.

Sending wishes of happiness to all of our customers and team members in Australia, New Zealand and across the globe, this holiday season.
