Arctic Shield™ is Opal’s purpose-built paper-based packaging solution designed to replace expanded polystyrene (EPS) boxes in the seafood segment.

Available in two designs, Chillstack and Air-Gap, Arctic Shield™ is engineered to contain wet ice and water slurry, delivering reliable temperature performance from catch to customer. Suitable for airfreight applications on request.

• Air-Gap Design: leak-resistant lid, high thermal properties (up to 7 days), suited to larger or longer-transit applications
• Larger format boxes (35–42L capacity) for whole fin fish such as salmon, 18–20kg fish plus ice, 4–5 per layer
• Mid-range format boxes (25–40L capacity) for Murray cod, cobia, kingfish, plate-size barramundi, prawns, crayfish and crabs at 15–20kg, 6–8 per layer
