Opal delighted to host NAWO site tour

Opal Cartons Botany were delighted to host the first NSW NAWO site tour for 2022.

Almost 30 participants from 10 companies attended the first face-to-face National Association of Women’s Organisations (NAWO) event for the year.

All Opal Carton’s team members supported the Women in Operations event, from Operations to Sales.

The visitors were impressed by Opal Carton’s operators explaining the capability of what the different machines do. Opal’s team showcased the different processes across their shop floor, including printing, cutting, gluing, and packing.

Maryanne Riad, Production Manager at Dulux Group said “The team members on the floor were amazing and very knowledgeable. They knew the machines inside and out and were very happy to explain them to us.”

“I loved how you were able to get so many people from the Cartons site involved and willing to share their knowledge. It was one of the most informative, interactive and well-run site visits that I have been to,” says Karen Jones, Environment, Testing and Management Systems Manager at Opal Paper.

Thank you to NAWO for allowing Opal to host this event.
