Get to know our Opal People: Claire Lee
Meet Claire Lee, Packaging Engineer, who has been with Opal for three years.
What inspires Claire and her role at Opal is her team members and the different challenges and projects that she has been involved with.
“One of the things that inspires me is the collaboration. I have a great team and I’m continually being inspired by their knowledge and expertise so it’s one of those roles which just keeps giving,” Claire said.
Claire studied product design engineering at University, which allowed her to combine her knowledge of mathematics and passion in the creative arts space. “When I was thinking of future opportunities, I wanted something that did both and that seemed super interesting.”
Claire thinks that when people think of engineers or even packaging engineers they think of machinery. “We don’t just use machines. There is a lot of innovation and design.”
Every day can be different for Claire as she works closely with sales reps and customers to drive innovation and solutions for their products. “We liaise with sales, customers, design teams and operations to deliver products and to find improvements for packaging and design,” Claire said.
