Opal maintains a range of third party certifications and memberships as part of our commitment to operating responsibly.
We hold Chain of Custody certification for FSC® as well as for PEFC. Chain of Custody certification systems support responsible forestry practices, ensuring transparency and traceability in the fibre supply chain.*
*Only products made at eligible sites and from eligible materials can carry the FSC® or PEFC claim.
Opal supports a wide range of non-government organisations and industry associations. We are members of the Australian Forest Products Association (AFPA), Australian Industry Group (AIG), Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), Committee for Gippsland (C4G), Energy Users Association of Australia (EUAA), Food and Fibre Gippsland, FSC Australia, PEFC, Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (SEDEX) and the Victorian Forest Products Association (VFPA).
